Ang Batang Nangarap ng Kapayapaan

In this second book by Mr. Bimbo Papasin, associate producer of ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol Weekends and Umagang Kay Ganda, he touches a serious issue which roots from history. From the innocent eyes of a young girl named Aliyah, Mr. Papasin gives us the realization of how the seemingly never-ending conflict of Christian and Muslims in Mindanao, affects the lives of people living there.

In the story, Aliyah tries to advocate peace through the hand-made flower necklaces she loves to make. It narrates a situation we often hear over the radio or watch in TV. Through this tale, Mr. Papasin creates awareness in the minds of young adults or tweeners and encourages them to make a stand for peace.

Ang Batang Nangarap ng Kapayapaan is published by Katha Publishing Co., Inc., the publishing arm of Goodwill Trading Co., Inc. The colorful illustrations were made by Jan Carlo Sarmiento, a budding artist and Bimbo’s colleague in ABS-CBN. It comes with an English translation to cater to everybody looking for a good read.
